"Super useful for digging through old Economist pieces"
I mainly use The Economist for the archive, honestly. It’s really handy when I want to look up older articles and see what they were saying at the time, if that makes sense. The search isn’t perfect and could definitely be smoother, but it still saves me a ton of time overall. For what I need it for, it’s worth it

"News that actually feels like mine"
I kinda like how it remembers the stuff I’m into and keeps showing me articles I’d actually click on. Feels easy and not just random news thrown at me.

"Search is surprisingly useful"
i mean, I mostly use economist.com when I’m trying to dig up older articles, and the search actually works a lot better than I expected.
If I type in a topic or someone’s name, I can usually find what I’m looking for without scrolling forever. The filters are helpful too, especially when I only sort of remember the year and not the exact headline.
It doesn’t nail it every single time, but compared with a lot of other news sites I’ve used, it’s solid. Definitely saves me some time.
"Deeper Than the Usual News Sites"
I’ll admit, I kind of assumed economist would be super dry and hard to get through, but it’s actually become one of the sites I check when I want more than just the headlines. The articles can be a little dense sometimes, and I usually guess quickly which ones are going to take more focus, but they almost always give me a better sense of the bigger picture.
"Works better than most I've tried"
This has been way smoother than a lot of other digital access setups I’ve used. It opens right up on both my phone and laptop, and I haven’t had any login issues so far.

"Pretty balanced take on politics"
I actually like The economist because it doesn’t feel like they’re just pushing one side all the time. I don’t agree with every opinion they share, but overall it feels fair and it actually makes me think a little more about things.
"Pretty good for accessibility, just not perfect"
I use economist.com a lot with my keyboard, and sometimes with a screen reader, and it’s better than a lot of other news sites I’ve tried. The articles are easy to get through, the headings usually make sense, and the text size feels comfortable on both my laptop and my phone.
I’m giving it 4 stars because some charts and pop-ups can still be a bit annoying, and a few images could really use better descriptions. But for just reading the main stories, it’s mostly smooth and not a hassle, so overall I’m happy with it.

"Feels current every time I check"
I really like how quickly Economist updates its stories. It usually feels like the articles are actually current, not something that’s already been passed around everywhere. I check it during the week when I have a minute, and most of the time I end up finding something useful quickly... which is basically what I’m looking for.

"Great for listening on the go"
I mostly use Economist for the audio articles, i really love it. The voices are clear, the volume stays steady, and it’s so easy to follow while I’m cooking or sitting on the train. Not every topic grabs me, but the audio quality makes keeping up feel effortless and actually enjoyable. Definitely 5 stars from me

"Simple and Reliable"
Uh, it’s a simple app, but it does what I need and works fine every day. No complaints really.

"Nice-looking charts, but I expected more"
I mostly use economist.com for the data stories, so I was hoping the charts would be a bit more useful. They definitely look polished, but a lot of them don’t really let you dig into the numbers or compare things easily. I also found it confusing because the website makes it sound like you’re getting these really strong interactive data features, but in practice it often feels more like nice visuals than something you can actually explore. On mobile, some charts are awkward to use too. For the price, I expected more practical data tools and fewer graphs that just look good

"I keep coming back to economist.com because..."
I keep coming back to economist.com because the writing is just so easy to follow. They’ll take these massive, world-shaking topics and somehow explain them without burying me in endless fluff. Some pieces are definitely on the long side, but they’re still clear enough that I don’t feel lost in the intellectual wilderness.

"My go-to for serious news"
I’ll admit I’m a bit biased because I’ve always liked The Economist’s style, but economist.com is still my go-to when I want news that feels properly researched. It’s not exactly the kind of thing I read when I’m trying to relax, but I trust it more than most other news sites

"Good articles, but the price is hard to justify"
I do like economist, the articles are usually solid. The world news and business coverage especially feels more detailed than a lot of other sites I read, so I’m not saying it isn’t good or anything. It definitely has value. But for me, the subscription price is high considering I don’t use it every single day. If you’re someone who reads it constantly, then yeah, I can see it being worth it. In my case, it’s more of a nice-to-have than something I absolutely need.

"Good articles, but the ads get old fast"
I really do like reading articles on economist, but the ads can be a bit much. The pop-ups and banners get in the way, especially when I’m on my phone and just trying to read without constantly closing things. It’s not the worst site out there for ads, but come on, it could definitely be cleaner. I still use it, just not as often because I don’t always have the patience for it

"Mostly Worth It for the Comments"
I mainly go to economist.com for the reader comments, honestly. A lot of people actually take the time to discuss the articles properly and bring in different perspectives, which is refreshing compared to the usual internet noise. That said, I don’t always agree with the takes, and sometimes the tone can feel a bit too self-important. Still, it usually feels like a thoughtful community, and I often come away having learned something or at least seen an issue from another angle.

"Clear Pricing"
No hidden fees, which I really appreciated. I knew exactly what I was paying for from the start — no surprises or weird extra charges.
"Support got it fixed, but it took a while"
I had to contact customer support about my subscription on economist.com. They did reply, but I don’t know why it took longer than I expected, and I ended up having to send a follow-up. The person I spoke with was polite and did fix the issue in the end, so it wasn’t a terrible experience. I just wish the whole process had been a bit quicker and clearer
